About Zushi School

Learn how to make Sushi from our very own master sushi chef at Zushi.

Zushi School is a 2-hour hands-on sushi rolling course with our very own master sushi chef at Zushi. Head Chef Lee will teach the basics of sushi making and finish with tricks on how to make a few of our famous signature rolls! You’ll also get a sushirolling mat and recipe booklets to take home with you.

It’s the perfect class for some fun with your friends, family or colleagues. And best of all, when the class finishes, you get to eat all the sushi you’ve made with a complimentary beverage.

Limited spots to ensure maximum attention from and interaction with our Head Chef Lee. Minimum of 4 students to go ahead with the class.

$110pp, price based on onsite class at Zushi Surry Hills and is negotiable if offsite at an office or alternate venue

  • Fully illustrated step-by-step recipe sheet with the day’s instructions and tips
  • After class lunch of self-made sushi with a complimentary alcoholic beverage or miso soup

When?

930am-1130am on Saturday or Sunday’s – onsite options for these days only. Offsite class dates are flexible.

Dates are flexible based on minimum number of 4 students to proceed with the class.

Lessons are limited to 6 people to ensure maxiumum attention from and interaction with our Head Chef Lee.

Where?

The class will take place in the restaurant’s courtyard/mezzanine at: Shop 2a, 285a Crown Street, Surry Hills (nearest cross street: Campbell St)

ENROL IN ZUSHI SCHOOL

Zushi School for Kids

Zushi School for Kids is a 1.5hr hands-on sushi rolling course for children from ages 6-12. The aim is to have fun and to raise interest in Japanese cuisine and cooking.

What do you get?

Head Chef Lee will teach how to make basic hosomaki mini rolls (single ingredient seaweed rolls), futomaki rolls as well as onigiri (triangle shaped sushi). Your children will follow Chef Lee step by step and have plenty of time to practise. They can also eat what they roll straight away, or put them into a take-away box to take home.

Included in the price is:

  • All equipment and ingredients (no sharp knives will be used)
  • Free-flow complimentary soft drinks
  • Sushi rolling mat to take home
  • Fully illustrated step-by-step recipe sheet with the day’s instructions and tips

How much?

$70 per child (parents are encouraged to participate and help out)
